Anyone doing it with open sights this weekend??

Well after filling my buck tag i am going to make a go of it tomorrow for a doe with the Guidegun. Anyone else using open sights this weekend??

I tried with my Winchester 1895 30-06 last weekend. Saw some stuff, didn't get anything though.

Hunting open sights is the only way to go...My son and I are using 2-1894 winchesters in 30-30 and 38-55. both DOM 1906.

I went out today with my 336XLR in turdy turdy. I didn't gitrdun but my son in law got his WT buck. Good enuf' for me.

To answer the question, no open sights for me. I had the Leupy on 4x on top of my .308win to drop my 3x3 mulie last week.

I'll be heading out this coming Saturday with Guidegun in tow again. Last Saturday was a bust as the fog never lifted where i was. Spooked lots but couldn't make em out.

....................and yes James, i still have the Guidegun. I love the bark of that cannon.
