Anyone done a tactical sling setup for ruger American ranch

Anyone ever modified their American ranch to use a “tactical” across the body sling ? Ive got other rifles with them and love the convenience in the woods

You mean like the Canadian C7 rifle "Bosnia" sling? One tight strap along the left side. The fixed end of a body loop is on the butt, and there is a snap link beside the front sight.

To take a HK hooked tactical sling.

Never seen that style sling, I’m thinking the kinda 2 point sling you’d attach to a wk180 or a type 97

In the mid-90s the army issued a lot of kinda-good ideas that didn't pan out. The inspiration is the British SA-80 chest sling. When the army went to collapsing stocks, the tension strap wouldn't work.
