Anyone else getting fraudulent credit card charges after using X-Reload?

The place I’m talking about is X-Reload… I like them too! I shop with them every month. But with my daily AND my 2nd rarely ever used card getting compromised at the same time after purchasing with them. Makes it seem like that it was the source… but of course I could be wrong and this is a huge coincidence.

You are not wrong. It happened to me too. They bought marijuana for $800. This store is to be avoided, absolutely. i mentioned to them the abuse and of course they vehemently denied they had an issue.

Twice in a month my two cards have been compromised. One visa that I use fir work expenses and one I use for everyday stuff. My visa was compromised after making a purchase through a site sponsor on Thursday. I won’t say which one as it could be a coincidence.
Both cards were used in Winnipeg, Quebec and Nigeria. Visa was almost three grand in two days on food and expensive women’s clothing.

It's possible it's not even an individual store that has the issue. As good as credit card companies and payment companies are at spotting fraudulent charges, they are software companies. Their software, terminals, and all the in between can be just as vulnerable as anything else out there. Sucks to hear that this kind of thing is getting worse and worse. Hacking is turning into a major money maker for a lot of people it seems.

Got my Visa compromised this week, but the bank detected that right away and I got a call from them. A new card is on the way now.. I wonder which site sponsor store has security issues? I may have to get a Visa Debit or the like for firearms related shopping now.

Did you shop from X-Reload recently?

I had to replace my Master Card, x-reload was the first and only purchase for 250.00 and 2 weeks later I had three charges on it from another country. I just received my new card and it won't be buying anything from x-reload again

Sounds like the same time frame as me.

I have been buying with them for over a year and it’s only been an issue recently…

They use authorize.net as their payment provider, I wonder if x-reload is storing CC info (which is a big no-no) during payment processing..

Weird, used x-reloads about a month ago and just had to cancel my credit card as had someone try and make 3 purchases off of ebay one for $938, $500 and $298 that my bank flagged (possibly put in my address wrong as being rural its ridiculously long lol). Im not saying it is their fault but maybe they were hacked without being aware of it.

I had a fraudulent charge in late 2019.... cancelled card and ordered a new one... my records indicate I ordered from x-reload Nov 2019... I didn't associate them to the charge until reading this thread (coincidental, perhaps)..... None-the-less, I have sent a link for this thread to X-Reload support... Hopefully, I'll hear something from them....

I think the x reload group needs to address this issue on this forum. I will be contacting them as well

I have had a number of fraudulent online purchases at a clothing supplier plus two others.
M/C recognized the issue, cancelled the CC and issued another one.
There were additional fraudulent uses and I communicated with the company.
They were able to stop a delivery and with the article returned by account was credited with that purchase.
I am not out any money so the police will not consider it a crime.
The company would not share the location for delivery so I can not help further the investigation other than to say BC.
It would appear another purchase has been recovered and my account was credited further . . . much like a return.
I am not out anything . . . in fact my account has been credit twice to an amount less that a grand.
In the first instance the lady said it was mine to keep. Second one was the same . . . they will not debit my account to cover their error!
I have no idea where my card might have been compromised nor protect myself in the future.

Recently, I have started a whole new thread where I provided my detailed review of recent CC purchases narrowing down a possible Gun Store, I figured out and exposed in details the possible fraud scheme was used. This thread was locked shortly. The bank has reimbursed me the fraudulent transaction shortly. I seems like absolutely no one cares: not retailer, not a bank either. Even CGN has muted it.

Then I thought to myself, why should I care, whom I try to help? When I make online purchases using CC - I risk bank's money, not mine. If bank is Ok with this kind of widespread fraud situation, sure let them pay for it. All I need is to tell them, this is not my transaction, I dunno, please send me a new card, while I go ahead use a spare from the other bank, which does not care either. This is why CC has 20% interest. Suckers pay it, not me.

So, relax. The more you try to protect yourself from CC fraud - the less job bank will do. Basically you guys contribute to this problem. Just chill.
