Anyone else have a love for the Browning High Power rifles of days gone by?

Maybe this works ...

Pulling up a old post from the past. Anyone know where to get a replacement stock for one of these. A buddy inherited one in 375hh but has the salt wood stock creating rust issues. Hoping to get it cleaned up and stock replaced. Hope someone could point me in the right direction.

Get the new honey lubricant and coat the stock inside with it and put the gun together
Honey will protect the metal

Anyone else remember the gun rack at Barotto Sports in Calgary in the early 70's ? Down on 4th street in the little 4 story Adams building...

Just about every caliber on hand and several different grades displayed...

There was a new condition 300H&H Safari Grade on the EE a couple years ago. What a beauty! Wish the new owner would post some pics.

.308 Norma magnum 98 FN mauser action

Same here. Mine is not a pretty presentation rifle. Not a beater, honest wear. Medium contour barrel, action smooth as glass. It would be in my top three if I had to severely downsize. Haven't weighed it, probably 10 lbs , not that that matters. I'm a bit past 6 HR 10k humps through the bundu.

Yes with a double tapered barrel and a 1-12 twist it drives 150gr bullets into the same hole and deer simply vanish from sight when hit .All you see is hair in the breeze through the scope lens.I make brass from .300 win mag.

I have one in the original 300 H&H, topped with a Leupold 3x9.
It’s been my go to rifle since I bought it 6 years ago.
An absolute pleasure to shoot. Silky smooth action, no felt recoil.
I hunt with a good buddy that also has one in 264 Win Mag. That one is a family heirloom bought by his dad new in the late 50’s early 60’s. I was so impressed with his I was on the lookout for one in 300 H&H and finally found one 6 years ago In a family estate dispersal sale. Never thought twice about buying it when it came up. I’ve never been disappointed with my purchase.
