Anyone else have a Tikka model 55 deluxe in .243 ?

I'm also kicking myself for not picking up the other m65 deluxes that were also for sale at the same place/time that I bought mine --- these were near new condition in 7x64 and 25-06.
yep ... you can never have too many nicely made rifles. On the other hand - if its any consolation - there is nothing the 7x64 or the 25/06 can do that your 30/06 can't ... and there are many advantages to the '06 like great range of bullets from light to very heavy for big game. Universal availability. Cheap (VERY cheap compared to the 7x64) commercial ammo. Easy on bores/long barrel life. Bigger market when you want some cash. Solid accuracy. Its pretty much the "Universal calibre" as others have said many times before.

And if you stick to this one calibre - you will develop a proficiency that others will be envious of!!

I think you made the smart choice when you grabbed the 30/06!!
