Anyone else notice something exciting here?

I think they likely went with chamberings that worked with a similar bolt size/weight (in the case of .45/10mm). As for 9mm, that would cut into PC Carbine sales, so it would likely be a loss to tool up for it. 5.56 won't work in a straight blowback.

I'll give you a hint, it's ten reasons why my wallet is gonna be toast next year lol

If you are buying 5.7x28 or 10mm ammo, yes for sure........ buck a round for cheap federal AE

Can they even be imported since C-21 and the 5 round Mag requirements on new rifles (hence the Crypto using 5 rd proprietary mags and the magwell won't fit AR pattern mags)?

I think chances are good. Those look to be Glock mags, and it should fall under the .45 LC FRT, given that they're functionally identical save for chambering

I might look at these if they release an NR 10mm .... might even bite on a 45acp
The 10mm would be a decent survival rifle

16.25” barrel sucks for us, hopefully they make a NR length barrel, I would love a non restricted 10mm carbine that takes glock mags. I already load 10mm and have lots of components for it.

Grip length + trying to avoid mag issues with the rimmed case = serious amount of redesign. mags would likely have to be single stack and proprietary.
Grip length wouldn't be an issue, 5.7x28 has virtually the same OAL as 357mag (1.594 vs 1.59).

But you'd still need a magazine, and the number of 357 magazine options out there are not very big - Desert Eagle is the only one that comes to mind personally. So then you're either using an expensive, uncommon magazine, or you're designing your own, which would drive costs up significantly.

Plus if it doesn't use a glock magazine that right there will instantly kill a decent portion of your sales.

357sig seems like the obvious answer if you want something closer to 357mag... but it seems to me that cartridge is practically dead at this point so i wouldn't be holding my breath...
Friend of mine got a Glock in 357 Sig. I was surprised at how powerful it is. That round is no joke.
