I do a lot of hiking at camp and in the past 3 years I have begun to see eagles more and more. Actually, 3 years ago was the first time I had ever seen one at camp. (wmu 43a, Manitoulin Island, Ontario). Last summer I spotted a nest while out fishing and got treated to one of the eagles hunting fish all morning. Pretty cool to see what they can grab with those talons! This was in august/september and the bird appeared to be moulting (right word?) but still cool to see. Last week at camp I walked up on one within about 15', which I didn't even see. Man, that scared the crap out of me when she/he took off! And another took off from a tree just outside camp as I was coming back in. Ofcourse didn't have a camera with me any of the time. Hopefully there is more than one pair around my place. Anyone else seeing these guys?
