Anyone else sick of win .17hmr?

Cz455: bought a bunch of superX winchester 17gr when Lebaron had them on sale a year or two ago. I ended up selling 8 of the 10 boxes- I tried one box and opened the other (still have it). No splits, but accuracy was just terrible: 1.5" at 50 yards. I'm not a great shooter- but I'm better than that! CCI and Hornady work well for me- I won't shoot the winchester. I am almost positive that Winchester loads their own 17hmr. The rest is CCI loaded. Upon careful inspection of the Winchester vs CCI/Hornady the rim is thicker and profiled more of a rounded shape for the lot I have. It just does not work in my rifle at all...

Way back when I had a salvage hmr bought a box of regular win hmr and surprise hmr. With both couldn't get through a magazine (5 rounds) without at least a few misfires and split cases. After that 100 round disaster never even thought about buying more. Sold salvage and bought a cz still haven't tried winchester hmr in it never will either. I shoot 99% hornady and 1% cci not a problem with those brands even when I had my other hmr

Ive got a savage and the win grey label shoots great out of it. I have never had feeding or extraction issues and have never noticed split cases and i do randomly check because this type of thread has come up before....weird.
the win grey label has shot the sh*ts out over every other 17hmr ive had but this savage really likes it.

Winchester is the most accurate ammo I've run thru my savage I've never had your issue but I've had it with hornady splitting multiple upon mulitple times with hornady. I bought a box of steel match in 308 20 out of 50 rounds were duds and the powder residue was disgusting

We gave up on Winchester HMR ammo years ago... the were fairly accurate, but half had split cases and many extraction problems... Just shoot Hornady 20 XTP's now and they run perfectly.
