Anyone else's NEA chassis arrive without assembly parts?

Yet some more bad info on NEA products... I like the looks of them, but due to all the dis satisfied customers I've been hearing about I will likely never own Anything NEA....

Maybe they should work on their customer satisfaction.....

well that's a pretty tough stance! If i liked a product that a company produced, and it ended up being high quality, i certainly wouldn't let a history of a couple missing screws/washers be a deal breaker for me! they are super easy to source locally!

if it were missing custom extruded/machined parts, that would be different!

but thats just me... ;-)

GiNNz!

I concur - I like what NEA produces, I like that they are a Canadian Company showing some real talent and doing it with very reasonable prices. Yes some stuff slipped through the cracks, and I'll call it growing pains. I'd buy one of their AR's were it not for the ret@rded legislation deeming them restricted. If NEA were to develop a NR firearm (please be bullpup - please be bullpup...) I'd be camped out at their door...

like i stated in my last message, and keep in mind this is only MY opinion, if others feels the same way i cant help that.... but this is not the first bad news i've heard. and the way things are going it wont be the last. i just choose not to purchase something with such bad reviews...

This is my first time posting an image so we'll see if it works, but here's the NEA rail. It's like this still if I screw it on tight.

hmmm...see if you can put a square on the face of the chassis to see if the barrel nut threads are square. Then do the same with the HG, looks like one was machined a bit out of square. Determine which one is out and I'm sure NEA will take care of you.

Little update about the missing fasteners....

...When I returned home from work today, I found a small envelope in the superbox from NEA. I appears as though they stepped up to the plate and sent me replacement fasteners for the chassis I purchased... sweet (I think to myself), something to cobble together once the kids go to bed this evening...

So I disassemble the gun in hopes of completing the final assembly (fitted, torqued, loktited etc.), and when I try the new screws sent by NEA... wait for it.... they don't fit... too skinny. They must have lost some body mass while enroute.

From Left to right - Longer 6/48 screws (ones I planned on modifying), factory Ruger scope base screws 6/48, Skinny little NEA supplied screws, and almost long enough 6/48 screws.

Sad to say that the batter went up to the plate and was swinging at air... I appreciate the effort, but these anorexic fasteners you sent fall right through the threading on the receiver... oops... Maybe I should have checked more closely before I took the gun apart...or dipped them in that same creme OJ Simpson used on his hands before trying on the leather stabbing gloves = If the screw don't fit, you must acquit...

It seems straight so i'm not sure, it fits right against it and I can't do anything about it if it's the barrel nut threads right, they'd have to. It's okay though they said they would take care of it.

I havnt seen this product before, can someone post a link where to find one, and please post some pics of a complete rifle..

What mags can be used with it??

Its a chassis kit for the 10/22, now discontinued. Best bet would be EE. Stormtrooper: Ive seen that before. The screws got into some meth. Nothing you can do about it...

It's plainly obvious that it's the holes that grew, not the screws.

.. I have no idea what happened here. The person filling the order grabs what the box says.. it looks like someone pooched a reorder. Sometimes you just cant win.

So you know i'm not even upset about this, I don't think most people are, I just want to get it all right then it's gonna be awesome!!

So is it possible for me to get the screws shipped to me from you guys, or should I ask the shooting edge, b/c I don't think they would have any of the screws left since they are out of the Chassis systems? Thanks

I got the can't win message pretty clear....maybe this weekend I'll trim down some of my screws to better fit the depth required in the receiver. I did notice on the takedown this time that the rear area of the Ruger trigger housing is pressing right against the angled grip block that's held in by two bolts through the chassis - is it supposed to apply counter pressure or should there be no contact between these two parts?

Thanks
