Anyone ever build an air rifle.

Well I'm watching a guy make an air rifle on YouTube with a hand drill and a mini grinder. I thought I wonder if anyone on here tried to build an air rifle
 
Not an air gun persay but a pipe that shot out plastic chunks with 75 psi of air pressure yes, it had channels of rod welded to the inner barrel too, cheapo rifling lol, dad did not approve
 
I don't think he posts on CGN, but Bob Sterne from Coalmont BC posts on most of the airgun-specific forums, like the one mentioned above, GTA, Airgun Guild and others. He's moved from modifying various production Crosman and other rifles up to now making guns pretty much from scratch - he buys the barrel blank but that's about it. Look for him using the handle 'rsterne' and prepare for a few months' worth of steady reading, at the end of which you'll be reasonably up to speed on what's possible in the field. Especially interesting is his extensive work on efficiency - his math is solid, and his articles appear in Hard Air Magazine full of charts resulting from those calculations. He also hunts.
 
Read an article on a guy converting an old beat milsurp 98 mauser into a PCP and shooting a deer with it.Would have been easier to use as is IMO.
