I'm looking to move to a Nova 20 gauge as my wild turkey gun. I like everything about the Nova, except the fact it does not come from the factory drilled and tapped. I prefer to use an AimPoint red dot for wild turkey hunting.

Anyone ever had their Nova drilled and tapped by a gunsmith? Routine procedure or something to be avoided in terms of potential problems?

I think what might be on your list is a speedbead
I have a friend that has a benelli and uses the fastfire red dot on this mount , then there is no need for drilling
Hope this helps

I think he may have no choice but to drill and tap as the stock on a Nova does not remove from the reciever. If it's a Super Nova, he can slip a Speedbead in between the stock.

I've done Mossbergs and Remingtons, I don't imagine a Benelli is too much different.
Do you know if there is a specific mount for this particular shotgun?

Yes I have done a few. No big deal if it is done in a milling machine to keep it all straight. I would not attempt it with a jig due to the plastic and metal layers of the receiver.
