Anyone ever had issues with Gen3 Pmags20?

Sigh.

This is the first time I've ever had a magazine problem in my Ar15.

On my new Gen3 Pmag20, the follower slides right past the finger on the bolt stop.

I have never had issues with the following
-Lar pistol mags (C-products and ASC)
-PCV50
-Gen 2 Pmag20
-Gen2 Pmag 30
-Norinco 30
-GI 30
-Bushmaster 20
They always engaged the finger securely.

The Gen3 Pmag20 just slips right past it. If I push the follower back and lean on the mag body, I can get it to just barely engage but it easily slips off.

Magpul told me to *uck off..........well........more accurately they said there wasn't much they could do because of ITAR.

I've been directed to Gravel in hopes of a remedy or a new mag *fingers crossed*.

Anyone else had issues with Gen3 mags?

I just measured the two mags and from front to back, the Gen3 Pmag20 is .015" shorter than the Gen2 Pmag30.

So my guess is, that lack of the .015" is allowing the Gen3 to tilt forward in the magwell enough to not engage the bolt stop.

I guess worst case scenario, I break out the JB weld and build up the front of the mag .015"
 
not sure if it was caused by the same thing but my gen3 20s were having issues in my ACR (fail to lock back on empty mag) so I traded them for MOE, never had an issue in my AR mind you...
 
If you do some research on the net you will find magpul made changes to gen 3 mags and in some cases they won't work with certain guns, i just went through this, bought 10 mags and had to sell them at a loss. I only recouped just over half the money i spent on them.
 
Ya, I did come across that info.......after I bought the magazine :(

I know ATRS had issues because they designed the Modern Hunter with the Gen2 .308 Pmag in mind and discovered that the Gen3 doesn't work properly

Ya this is what happened to me,.. i figured i would buy some mags before mine showed up, oh well.
But there are more than a few guns out there that work fine with gen 2 and not with gen 3. On that note my old colt 6920 had no issues with gen 3.

The Colt had no issues with the 10 Gen3 you bought? Or no issues from a different batch of Gen3?
