This "new old stock" vintage Russian red dot sight recently showed up on E-Bay; the "Oldgen Compact". Has anyone ever heard of it? According to the seller it was produced between 1999 and 2001 and was used by Russian forces in the Second Chechen War. Comes with a detachable screw-on 2.5x magnifier as well:

Quite frankly looking at the price of those sights you'd be better served spending it on entry-level red dots from Vortex, Primary Arms or Holosun. Hell, if you're looking for Russian-made, there are better products available now from Belomo (Belarus) and VOMZ (Russia) on ebay if you search for both of those brands on eBay.

Agreed. I have a Belomo-made scope and I'm quite impressed with its build quality. I was just curious about this "Oldgen" as I've never heard of it before.
