is the paperwork different since 45 ACP is a modern cartridge?
I wouldn't bend it personally, I would shim with brass shim stock. Or, if its a bit of a bush gun beater/not mint anyways, if you cerakote it, then the play it taken up by the cerakote, and you have a gun that you wont have to worry aboit in the field

Just means it will have to go to an intermediary in the US first.
But personally I wouldn't touch that because of its potential functional issues.
I did, you don't need any importer, just have it shipped by USPS with the real selling price and have the sender add the FRT - which does exist in 45 ACP and antique. Check armalitics.ca - have it declared as antique, not antique revolver. Most US sellers want a certified cheque in USD, then send it by Purolator.
