Hi there guys, i was in n older copy of gun digest last night doing some reading, came across an article for the Marlin model 62 clip fed lever action chambered in 256 winchester magnum, and 30 carbine, looks totaly neat, id like to locate one, has anyone ever seen one up close?
Anyone ever run across this rifle?

Id like to find one, they were the model 62 "Levermatic", id prefer the 30 carbine, i think if loaded properly it would make a neat deer gun in the blind or bush hunting, the 256 is also interesting, im unceartain what the value of a decent cond one would be? Does anyone know where there may be one for sale?
These are nice guns, always wanted one but they go for around $600 these days, which is a little more than I'd care to spend on that gun. I have only seen two on the EE over the past two years. I have a Levermatic in .22 magnum and I love it.

A predator control guy in our neighbourhood uses one in .256, says it is a great coyote gun. that's the only one I've personally seen.
I just thought they were really neet little guns, always wanted a model 62, id like to buy one at a decent price, id never pay over 400$, in 1980 book i have here that they were listing in, they sold new for 199$ for the ones in 256,30 carbine, and 357 magnum, if someone knows of one, feel free to get in contact with me,
The one I had was 30 carbine, I shipped to a friend of mine who is a collector in BC.
I would have considered keeping it if the mags were larger. I think it held 4 rounds or something like that. You are just getting started with 4 rounds in a lever action rifle.

Still looking for one, had no luck yet, seems they werent popular around this province, called every gunshop i could think of , no luck finding one yqet, message with any info if you saw one at a shop, im interested in buying one or possible trade for one
