I have over 6 peep sighted rifles and have shot them all my shooting life, 55 years, including the CAF. They are becoming very hard to use due to vision changes with age. Recent cataract surgery affected my vision as well. I wish to continue using iron sights accurately. Yes, I do have scopes and they are sure delightful but my Lee Enfield or Winchester levers deserve better, lol!
The trick here is locating the aperture very close to the eye. It works alongside the rifle's aperture by allowing a much longer range of depth of field. They are supposedly used by aging American service rifle competitors shooting issue irons.
Just hoping to confirm they work as advertised.
