Anyone figure out a way to get the cleaning kit out of the stock without pinching you

Simple, turn your finger so it is going into the hole sideways...ie so the sides of your fingers are in contact with the metal flap, and edge of the hole...that way you will not pinch your nail on them. :D

Make sure the "nail" side of your finger is "down"......not sure if you can understand. I found my finger woud always get pinched between the flap and stock when my nail is against the flap. With the "soft side" of my finger agains the flap, I find it is better.....but I still have to go slow.

i still do it the old fashion way, push my finger in and down on the flap, finger get slam by the spring loaded cleaning cylinder kit, which only manage to pops out (1/8") just not enuff for me to pull it out with my fingers so i have to tap the kit several times before it pop out enuff for me to get hold of it.

Will have to get a piece of dowelling to remove the cleaning kit. My chinese sks has a really strong spring in it that has already turn on nail black!

Thanks for the feed back

You're not going to store that in the stock with the cleaning kit too eh? Or you'll be asking how to get the cleaning kit dowel out without pinching your finger.:p .

its either that or where the f*** i put that dowel, haha.

If you finger is so sensitive then use the rifles cleaning rod to prop open the sks finger trap. :D

IQ test results on Monday. :D

When you insert it, make sure that the cleaning kit's cap is facing up. If it's facing down, you'll have problems losing the dang cap. Like everyone else has said, there's no real trick to not getting your finger snapped, just tilt your finger.

Insert index finger in nose. Once wet insert in hole and push on cleaning kit, it should then follow your finger upon withdrawal without pinching. Now wipe your finger on your pants and proceed to clean your rifle!
