Anyone For Pig Control??

Reminds me of the stories of cropping elephants in Africa with helicopters. They really should start a program to freaking give away that meat. Or make them in MREs....

What ham and pineapple for breakfast??

Had the opportunity to fly with the guys doing buff control in NT, Australia. Using FNs...one shot one kill. Odd time (big bulls) took an couple shots. If they caught some pigs in the open...they were taken as "targets of opportinity".

If the shooting had been left to ground crew, the work wud have taken years. Swamps, jungle and vast areas not accessible by ground vehicle. Plus lots of snakes and crocs!

Copters make the difference.......Nam proved that.

Don't tell me you believe that the Viet Nam war was lost by soldiers, do you?

Doesn't matter who lost it. What matters is that Saigon is now Ho Chi Minh City and helicopters decidedly did not make the difference there. The rest is just semantics, excuses and navel gazing.

Anyhoo. Pigs ain't Viet Cong, so the war on the porcine invaders can probably be won by air cavalry. Now give the pigs AK's, RPGs, SAMs and punji stakes (as well as opposable thumbs) and you may have a fight on your hands.;)
