Anyone get scammed selling on CGN?

I asked a question. You answered. Correct me if I’m wrong, but forums are for seeking answered for the most part. Not getting nasty with the poster for no reason. To answer YOUR question, he does. But a red flag is a red flag; I don’t need YOUR permission to ask if it’s a red flag. It’s obvious by your anger, that you know the person in question; I can respect that, but the animosity to an innocent question is uncalled for.
TO who are you directing this comment to ? if its me you certainly are TOTALLY mistaken ! you avoided answering a very GOOD question ? where does this permission THING come from - there was never any discussion of SUCH ? and anger thing where did you dream that up from also ? also one more thing - i HAVE no idea who the buyer is either :)

Im pretty sure he has taken what Ive posted out of context and thought I was being rude to him, which I wasnt. Didnt realize HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND was so offensive. Not that I really care

Im not quite sure where I was nasty or disrespectful!! I just stated that youve followed legally your responsibilities and that you cant be scammed if the EMT has been deposited UNLESS YOU DO SOMETHING NOT VERY INTELLIGENT. The question you answered wasnt mine but RJs. Didnt realize HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND was being nasty. If you get wound up and bent outah shape for nothing, then maybe forums arent for you!! Some enjoy creating problems over nothing.
Between answering/reading comments it looks like I put something in my reply to you that wasn’t intended for you; my apologies.

No worries pal, all good. I understand your concern. One of my first emt transactions were for a PGW rifle from the other side of Canada for $5K. Didnt sleep the best until it arrived!! If the buyer requests a payment for the over amount, you can send it EMT without worry, just dont open links or send them any info. If it was me, unless its a huge amount Id just ignore them.

My initial question and more than one reply to other folks on here stated nothing about anything but a raised red flag and that I was concerned about someone’s PAL being compromised. And I wasn’t avoiding it; I felt it was a moot point as my above-mentioned concerns state. Better that than saying,’oh well I did MY due diligence, so what if something ain’t right.’
Have a good weekend..

Big enough; more than I care to lose, lol.
MY first EE transaction…bought a rifle, sent payment, EMT. It didn’t appear to go thru, so I did it again, both went thru at the same time…I messaged the guy, he said, my lucky day, THANKS!, lol. Right away he sent one payment back. Turned out it was our extremely slow-at-times internet connection we had back then.
All is good, rifle got sent out this am; buyer was extremely understanding and helpful.
Again I apologize for any misunderstanding..
Have a good weekend..

But...heavens!...maybe that third party, whom the PAL verification process has determined to be legally entitled to receive the gun, has the actual buyer chained up in his basement with a car battery hooked up to his testicles.
for reasons I cannot fathom this part made me laugh out loud for a couple of minutes, so much so my kids came upstairs and wondered what daddo was smoking. Thanks for the chuckle and the visuals.

Sure looks fishy, and I sure would be changing my banking login information...

As in, the EMT links sent by the scammer will direct you to a fake web interface.
- They'll collect your banking information
- The interface will use this information to login to your bank... at which point the $ will be deposited.
This is why auto deposit is a must. If it doesn't trigger that, I ain't accepting it.
