Out here on the Island, the duck and goose opener is always Thanksgiving weekend. Every year I go out opening day and shoot some ducks and geese, and then invite all my friends over for Thanksgiven'er dinner.

I am happily hunting for grouse. No turkey hunting going on in my area. They were just introduced and I prefer not killing them all off yet.

We've got a turkey Dinner lined up for Monday at Mom and Das. However I think I'll try to bag a goose Tommorow, roast it Sunday and serve it with the turkey monday, if they cooperate.

Saw some hens and Jakes when I was scouting mulies last week. No fall season here. Hell, theres barely a spring season.

How good is wild turkey? There is a pile around here and I have always thought about bagging one. AFAIK they are fair game.

I have plenty of goose for all right now! Need any? We limited out yesterday in Northern district, 3 guys 9 Canada's and came close today adding 11 more( 4 short) to the count in Central District. I am headed to gf's in-laws for thanksgiving goose, dont know where they got that?!!!
