Depends on your Province of course.
In Alberta we can’t use a .223 for big game hunting anyway and the semi-automatic rifle 5 round rule only applies to big game hunting.
Wandering in the woods with a T97 and 10 round magazines plinking, coyote/rabbit hunting is perfectly legal.

Same for BC...............if not hunting ...10 rd mag has no bearing on the matter.

If it was not for the Federal Mag limitations........a hundred rd drum wud work......
