anyone got a armalite AR24

The other day,I was in the market for a steel frame 9mm and was thinking about picking up a CZ 75B. I ended up ordering an AR 24 with adjustable sights from Wolverine. Price was my deciding factor- to get the same features- adj. sights, drop free mags, you would have to go up a couple models from the base CZ. It was also 200-300 dollars less than a Baby Eagle or Tanfoglio Combat Sport (which is essentially the same pistol). I also like the fact that it is forged as opposed to the CZ being cast. I'm not too concerned with resale value as I have never bought anything with the idea of reselling it. Hopefully, it will meet my needs and I will enjoy the use of it for some time. That being said, maybe it will be a pos and I will just end up buying a CZ. I guess I'll find out.

They've been making these for awhile, I think they bought the tooling off Tanfoglio, they were trying to find a US importer at the SHOT show years ago.

I want one merely so I can break it, then I can honestly say I've owned and broken a CZ-75 and every make of copy made of it.

The Postman Rang Twice Today

Received a new XD and a new AR-24 today.

About the AR-24.

This gun is extremely well made. The slide fits tight to the frame with little to no play whatsoever. It is well machined with no marks or rough spots. It has a nice baked on epoxy finish and rubber hand grips with the armalite logo on them.

This pistol fits perfectly in my hand- there is a large beavertail and a pronounced indent in the backstrap. It has nice palm swells and both the front and back strap are comfortably checkered. This gun has heft to it- it feels heavy but also balanced. This is exactly what I was looking for in a steel pistol and is a nice contrast to the polymer XD that was also in the box.

The rear sight is an adjustable LPA and seems decent. The curved trigger fits nicely, although I find the pull in DA a little long.

Disassembly is really simple- push the slide back about a 1/4 inch-line up the two dots and push out the slide stop.

I really like this gun- now off to the range.

I will try to get some pics up soon - I'm not too good at that. Anyway, I bought it from Wolverine Supplies.

I took both the XD and the AR to the range yesterday and put 150 rounds of RUAG 124gr Sintox through each. Both shot well, the weight of the AR really absorbed the recoil. The only glitch with the AR was that I had to strike one round twice- I'm not sure if this was due to the ammo or the gun. In terms of accuracy I'm not the one to ask about that as I'm not a great shot but it shot as well as I could shoot it. Some others at the club gave it a try and shot a lot better than I am able to. I hope this is helpful.
