I have a Capitan Hi Power(tangent sight), had a mk3 before that. Neither are very accurate compared to more modern pistols, but I will always own a Browning Hi Power, cos I have always loved them:rockOn:.
Does anyone have a Charles Daly Hi power? are they any more accurate?
Alternatively, has anyone seen/used/owned a Hi-power with a custom barrel?

My HP Mark III was fairly accurate. Try different bullets and loads in it.

Bar Sto makes HP barrels but they require fitting by a competent gunsmith to ensure accuracy and reliability. They may also make a drop in though.

I would not think the Charles Daly would be anymore accurate than the Browning version. I think the CD is a FEG assembled in the US.

migrant hunter, Charles Daly High-Powers (HP) are BHP clones made from Parts Kits by FEG in Hungary and They are put together in the States. They look good on the outside but are rougher than BHPs on the inside. I own a FEG HP and it is a good serviceable handgun but not as nice as the original. Regards, Richard:D

Two of my mates have FEG"S, and I can shoot better with both of them than I can with my Browning!
I might go down the Barsto barrel route when I have the money and inclination. My main love for the Browning(apart from it"s looks) is that it just never stops. When I shoot practicals, I get to laugh at the guys with expensive, over engineered raceguns that jam every time the wind changes direction or if they wear the wrong socks!
I am a little concerned that a Hi power with the tight tolerances required for accuracy might lose some reliability in feeding.
