Put an old Weaver K3 on a 22 rifle just before leaving on a camping trip a few days ago. Didn't have time to go to the range, so stopped at a gravel pit to sight in the rifle. Instead of putting the caps in my pocket, I set them on the hood of the truck. After sighting in the rifle, put it back in the case, and headed down the road.
Still can't believe I did this. Getting old is not for sissies!
