Finally managed to buy some Titegroup and wondering if anyone could save me some time and trouble working up a load for my SIG P226 9mm for IPSC shooting. I will fine tune a load for my gun but wondering what a good starting point might be?

I have a few 115gr RN and 500 124gr FN Hornady projectiles to load up...?

Thanks,
Jim

4.0gr Titegroup under a 124gr plated bullet gives me 132PF. These are loaded short (1.100") for my CZ SP01.

4.2gr with at 124gr Hornady FMJ @ 1.12" makes around 131-134 out of my MK25.

Good luck with IPSC!

There are no shortcuts with hand loads. Use a chronograph start light and work your way up slowly. Use a reputable loading book as a safe starting point.

This for plated or jacketed 9MM 124/125 gr bullets for IDPA SSP/ESP or IPSC Production used in pistols with a barrel length >105MM. OAL is spot on. Works great in my SIG 226 Mke 25

Take Care

I see that you fellows are using a Sig P226, I have one and have excellent results using W-231; 4.2 grains and 124 grain conical. I'm looking for a clip loader for my 226 does any one know where I can pick one up.

Thanks,
Garry

3.1gr titegroup
147 campro
Mild+ crimp
983 average fps

Trouble with campro they are not always 147grain. Which can reduce pf when it weighs in at 146gr.
This is out of a 5" 1911

Got me through a lvl 3

Me and a buddy shoot the 124gr campro's (actually 123gr), 3.7gr titegroup, 1.1" OAL. We've chronied them in both our guns and meet PF consistently. I have to look up my chrony results if you wanted actual values.

We chronied for both the 124gr and 147gr campro's.

Eventually found this to be my best. 4.2 gr Titegroup with Campro 124gr RN mild crimp out of an X5 Allround. Works like a charm...

Clip loader? Do you mean a magazine loader? Like a Mag Lula? I bought mine in Edmonton at Phoenix. It was $30 ish.

You are aware prior to about the mid 1950's magazines were referred to as clips as well as mags. In fact what you would refer to as clips were and still are referred to as chargers in some areas. Clips, mags use which ever term you want. Elmer Keith. a noted American writer and shooting competitor. in his book "Hell I Was There" refers to magazines as clips. Growing up in Alberta I read magazines, I loaded clips in my .22. :>)
