Anyone got the Canadian Tire $100 spotting scope?

Ya, wait for it to go on sale for $49, then it's worth it.

If I was going to pay $100, I might save my money for a more expensive one, but at $49 - I wasn't out much.

My primary use is for the range. The light transmission isn't too poor, but it's not stellar either. It gets the job done.

I have a buddy that bought one - the price was just too good. Brought it over to my shop and man, you really get what you pay for. We could not believe how much the image moved while we changed the magnification. Back it went to the store.

Mine was the bushmaster for $99, on sale for $49. I compared it with a 8 year old Bushnell $250 spotting scope my friend had, and they were virtually the same in transmission and quality.

It looks like you will really have to up the dollars if you want anything better.

" You Get What You Pay For!!!"

Yah Bushmaster was the one I got for $49 half price sale all I use it for is 100 yards paper and spotting Turkeys in the fields works not too bad for that but like anything " You Get What You Pay For!!!"

I got one in the middle of winter, so i didn't get a chance to test it out really until spring. Turns out, it was broken new in box.

It starts out horribly out of focus, then as it gets clearer turning the focus knob, it gets tighter and harder to turn. Then, JUST when it's about to be in focus, like, half a turn more, it all of a sudden goes loose and back out of focus. This is at any magnification at any distance. At best, I can see 50 cal holes at 100 yards, nothing more.

The rub? It was after the 30 day canadian tire policy exchange period, so i'm stuck with this pos. It's not worth sending to the manufacturer.

Go get another and return the broken one with the receipt....;)
