I saw see them around alot but not in action.Anyone have them/try them out. What do you think of them.My Ski-doo died so if they are worth it I thougt I would get tracks instead of another snow machine.
on tracks for ATV's go to www.trackshare.com. There you will get just about all the info you want about ATV's and sleds. There are a lot of guys around Brandon that have them. They are constantly out riding in the snow. A fellow co-worker just traded his 500 Sportsman on a Polaris 800 EFI twin with tracks. Has about 20 g's into it. He loves it. The biggest thing you will hear from people is that you need lots of power. I think it all depends what your riding style is. It is no different than a sled in regards to riding. Want to go fast need power. Just tour I think a 400 will do.
Yup ya need power to run the tracks. Seen them in action last and this year on the lakes. Awsome for deep snow.
If ya trail ride in the summer tires are much better. A buddy has his tracks on this past summer on our weekend ride outside Parry Sound and he did nothing but slow us down
They are not that easy to swap back and forth, so for the minimum $3500 to put them on. Investing in a new sled may be the way ta go.
