Are you building guns on NP22 or NP34 frames? Or are you just projecting what you know about other designs and assuming they are the same for this?
Seems like variation in spring rates, poor finishing on unseen parts, and some parts out of spec is the norm for Norinco, but for $350-400 what do you really expect? A real sig?

You will only hear good reviews because you already made up your mind that is your next gun.
If you just want something to go bang that may not make it to 300 rounds, with #### fit/finish then the Nork is your gun.
Then again it may last longer then that, but still have #### for fit/finish. It's a roll of the dice on how long it will last or how well it will function, that is Nork QC....

Why not spend the 370.00 and do a review, it it is so bad dump it for 300.00.
I will be keeping mine as it does what it does very well especially for less than 400.00.
Best to hit Youtube and check out from a bunch of people as opposed to listening to a NP owner and non owner just to be sure.

No, I want someone with firsthand experience of a real problem.
I have come across a bunch of positive and negative reviews, and Im trying to sort out if the negative reviews are the odd unlucky gun, or if they are commonplace enough to warrant not buying one.
One thread, people tell me tokarevs are garbage and to spend the extra for something like one of these, and then this thread I get people telling me these are garbage. I bet if I put a thread up about a real SIG someone would be telling me they are garbage too, and I should spend more on something better...
Our 34 has about 500 down the pipe now. No problems at all - nada. Can't speak to any failures as we've not had any. Occasionally when the wife limp wrists a bit too much the slide doesn't fully return - a few mm short. No idea what she's doing as I can't get it to happen.
People that own these don't shoot them enough to give you a real idea of longevity. You can take the "500 rounds with no issues etc" however you want. Personally that's an afternoon shooting for some people, a year of shooting for others. If you are going to shoot a gun LOTS, like 5000+ rounds a year, buy something better. If you are not going to shoot it much the Nork will probably be fine.
I think in the other thread the Ruger SR9, and Girsan 92F clone were recommended for $450 as reliable long lasting guns. You can definitely find reviews of them going 10,000+ rounds easy.
I shot the sig226 clone, 1st gen from marstar for 2 years in 3 gun comps before anybody picked up that it was a clone. I had no issues with it except tearing down was a ##### because it's not Swiss quality. No cracks. Shoulda kept it.
