Anyone has the Wilson combat "Custom magazine well" on their 1911?

Planning to get myself this magwell

Wilson's website claims only alterations to be made are to the grips.
anyone performed this? I got a set of VZ I don't want to screw up.

 
definitely want to get it professionally installed (someone able to mill); it look like the grip panels will need to have a portion removed on the backside to accommodate that well.

I nick named the grip's blood donair's! Also the consield carry magwell fits a 8 round mecgar mint!
Also no fitting needed or if you really do need fitting you can do it, easly.
 
I used to use one with a set of Hogue grips. I used a dremel to relieve the backs of the grips to fit. Little bit of trial and error but nothing too difficult to do yourself. Changed to the Wilson Combat flat mainspring housing with magwell attached, like Greenhorse six.
 
I used to have the magwell you have pictured but no longer have the same 1911, those magwells work better for synthetic grips than wooden (unless you revarnish or restain your grips). but all in all i liked the magwell.
 
yeah well my mainspring housing has some work done onto it (pinned beavertail)
It'd save me to get a magwell that needs no alteration to MSH

SWEET, nice set up all around,I'am feeling some what humbled.

Not to hi-jack your thread, but here's a picture of my poor boy set-ups. VZ grips on both,the blond ones ,on a Norc that's getting Bubba'd by me, get dirty fast, and tiger striped on my old Springer G.I.

That's the speed chute with the norc.

They pale in comparison to yours.:redface:

Actually Greenhorse, I don't consider my pistol completed, I didn't want to post pics of the unfinished job but since you asked I did:p.

I'm still looking for the mag well and stainless steel ambi safety, magwell should be stainless too and I'm supposed to receive chip mccormick 10 round power mags soon (user from whom I bought didnt connect in the last 10 days so I have no clue what's going on with this trade)

I want a kind of two tone, black-stainless steel , kinda like your norinco green-black
 
so the tech well DOES require a special set of grips or slight midification to current set of grips
 
I have the ones with the hooks that go over the grip screw bushing, my hogue finger groove grips did not need any modification.
