Anyone have a keltec sub 2000 9mm glock mag with a feed ramp crack?

First post, so I hope this is in the correct format. :)
I purchased a keltec Sub 2000 9mm glock mag, and have put about 300 rounds through it. So far it has had some issues, no matter what type of ammo, fmj, lead, semi wadcutter, winchester, wolf, remington. It has performed best with winchester bulk fmj 9mm ammo. I have had fte, ftfeed mostly, with no fail to fire. The cases have been hanging up inside the receiver and often failing to eject. I dremeled the plastic lip slightly on the ejection port and that helped a bit. It does get absolutely filthy, so its possible the bolt face and extractor are getting gummed up. On my last 100 rounds I noticed I had 3 that did not eject and jammed inside the reciever. The cases have been chewed up and had discoloration down one side. After folding the carbine up, i noticed the feed ramp has a chunk/crack out of it, most likely caused by a non ejected empty being rammed into it. ( I have cleaned it thoroughly twice so far, with last 100 rounds having the fewest failures fyi) Anyone seen that before?
 
I use American Eagle 124gr FMJ mostly. No problems with it.
I had a few stovepipe stoppages early on but that seems to have passed as it broke in.
In the future don't dremel your gun when you are having problems. You just voided your warranty. That type of stuff is best left to a gunsmith after you have tried to get the manufacturer to make it work.
Also don't mention handloads when trying to get warranty. That also voids your warranty.

Thanks for the reply. I have read that the subs do have a break in period, so ill see how it progresses. Im going to order a new feed ramp and have a smith install it, unless they suggest sending it back to keltec. The dremel was on the outside of the ejection port, nothing internal. Its possible the crack may not affect it mechanically, ill have to bang off a few more and see if it starts to ftfeed. Thanks

The gun is built around using 115gr bullets. I use 115 and 124 in mine depending on what I'm doing, but the blowback bolt is clearly weighted for 115 gr as evidenced by crony results. Dont mean to hijack, just saying.

There is another thread floating around on here that shows something like what you are describing, not sure how it worked out but I believe it was send to vault and they repaired it
 
Emailed keltec customer service regarding the feed ramp. They got back to me within about an hour and are sending a new feedramp in the mail. Not bad. I only wish it was steel instead of polymer.
 
Other than the early feed/ jam problems, i like how it handles. Hopefully they work themselves out. Havent read any other reviews with nagging ftfeed/ eject problems, so im optimistic. Its not as trustworthy as my m and p 40, and wouldnt turn to it as a go to gun, but its a fun rifle that younger people can shoot. Very light, compact and well balanced. The sights are atrocious, with my front post coming loose a month after i bought it. I would like to get a new forestock with attached picatinny rails. Red lion in usa has a nice one that rotates 90 deg so you can keep optics attached and still be able to fold the rifle. Unfortunately they wont ship to canada due to Itar laws. I had heard that they are looking to get a distributor up here, so ill keep my eyes open. But as i said, its a fun rifle and easy to carry and pack and store. I had sold an sks and a winchester defender to buy it, but im going to buy another long gun, maybe a cz858 or another sks. I like having something bigger than a 9mm on hand.

Yes I did actually lol, painted it flat black and shaped it to follow the contour of the fore end, mounted a rail to the top of it and attached the sight. Looks good to me and nobody that has seen it even said anything but good things about the way it looks. Very functional and it was cheap. Also, with the thickness of the hinge and rail plus the high AR style rings, it got the sight up high enough to wear I can really use it rather than trying to get down on the horrible factory sights.

It may not be for everyone, but I like it
