Anyone have a Lever action Rossi in 45 colt?

I have the stainless 16" version in 357mag, and I am very pleased with it. I purchased it used, and someone had already installed a Skinner peep in place of the bolt safety, and I am shooting 1" groups at 50 yards with the peep sights with my 158gr handloads.

I have the same one with the same sights and found it a excellent shooter with more than enough punch for up to 50-100 yards use with hot 170gr .357 mag handloads at about 1650 fps or not that much less than a .30-30 170gr but with a bigger diameter bullet that seems to hit just as hard as the .30-30 but does not knock the shooter around as much as the .44 mag or heavy loaded .45 colt Rossi M92's.

A 16" barrel is about the perfect length for optimum velocities in the pistol calibres and makes for a very handy and easy to carry/use heavy cover hunting carbine with plenty of quick/fast follow up shots in the full barrel length mag if needed.

I have the 16" stainless model in 44 mag... they are fun little rifles for sure.

I have one in 357 mag. Some of my friends claim it is there favorite gun too shoot. Very accurate at 50 yards. Contemplated deer hunting with it but scared it is not powerful enough over 75-100 yards. Great fun with no issues. Dropped the gun once and the front sight ripped through the the webbing on middle and ring finger trying to catch it. My only complaint is some sharp edges on some of the action parts as well as front sight.

Not a 20" or stainless, or 45 colt for that matter but I will agree that Rossis are a great gun for the money. Mines with me almost everyday walking the dog, on the bike or playing out in the back. I'm in the market for a stainless 20" model as well, the blued versions dont have the best bluing, it rubs off fairly easily. Then again I take this thing out 4-5 times a week, a 92's slim action sure carrys nicely in the hand and makes for an easy choice when I open the safe.

I have a 16inch stainless 454 and a 24inch 45 colt both are great and the 454 is a great bush gun.

Still looking to buy a 16" in 45 or 454 but I can't find one in stainless.
