Anyone have a Mossberg MVP?

Cool, i had been checking MVPs but did not notice this model. Myself could easily imagine myself buying this, if the tube fits AR thread, put an A2 buffer tube with an A2 stock for familiarity.

I did own the mvp (non pistol grip) and I loved it. Was the most fun gun to shoot in my collection. Cheap to feed and ar mags is what sold me. Only reason I sold it was to fund another purchase. I already miss it LOL

Just got mine a few weeks back. I have the regular laminate stock version and love the look and feel. I haven't had it out yet, but hope to soon.

I've got the Varment one with the bench rest style stock, came with a bi-pod and scope, great look and feel, shoots pretty good, I was only using the cheap Norc ammo and I was getting about 2-2.5MOA and I know from using that stuff in my AR that going from that to AE Black Box will tighten up my groups so I would guess it will be 1.5MOA with half decent ammo

Smooth and sloppy. The ar mags fit a bit loose so anytime the bolt got hung up i would tap the mag forward and it would be good

Buddy had one and I shot it a bit. Kinda cool at first, but not the best quality. Accuracy was poor, nothing smaller them 1.5" @100yds with reloads.

It's a $700 gun with a bi-pod AND scope... you can't expect a sub-MOA rifle with feel of a Sako...

The bolt has some play when it's open but locks up tight, it looks good, trigger pull is short and crisp... I guess it all depends on what you're wanting to use it for.

I didnt regret purchasing it one bit. If I could afford my next rifle without having to sell it I would have kept it. Its a lott of rifle for 500 bux. (mine didnt come with scope or bipod.) It sold in less than 24 hours and I had 6 people fighting over who was going to buy it. It came down to the first person who knocked on my door got it. Id say its a very popular rifle.

I was new to distance shooting so I wanted something cheap to learn on and I had no problems getting 1-1.5" groups shooting american eagle. IMO no problems with accuracy.

After an initial problem with mine (the extractor fell apart after 2 shots), I took it out on the weekend and put about 70 handloads through it. I was shooting 55 gr FMJBT Hornady bullets over 24.6 gr of CFE223 powder. It was my first time using the powder so I'm sure I could develop the accuracy considerably. I was using a 6-24x 56 Barska scope (not a great scope by any stretch) with King Armoury rings.
Happy to say that 2x 10 round groups were below 2". The majority of bullet holes were grouped nicely, but I had a few fliers- and I never cleaned the barrel the whole time.
Not a bad gun for the money but it's not even close to my Ruger KM77 MKII VT.

I bought The varmint model MVP in .223 just before Christmas. I was very skeptical about purchasing one, but all the reviews I read were positive about accuracy. So far I've shot about 50 rounds out of it of all different types of factory ammo. I have NOT shot a 3 shot group that was larger than 1 moa at 100 yds. Most groups are between .5 and .75 moa. The first and only group I shot at 400 yds was 2.5" centre to centre. So accuracy has been amazing considering the $569 purchase price. The bolt is a bit sloppy, as is the fit of the magazine into the bottom metal. The round feeding is a tad bit finicky, but i have figured it out and is not bothering me now. It just needs a bit of bolt manipulation. The trigger is amazing considering the overall investment. I also really like the overall feel and balance of the rifle. In conclusion I have to say it is one of the best value purchases I have made. I can't wait to head out to the prairies and zap some gophers with it.
