Anyone have a pair of "companion guns" ? Rifle/pistol that shoot the same ammo?

I recently bought a pair of guns that I love, Both in the same caliber/round. And it got me thinking of the cowboys of old and any other frontier seeker. I often read in books, and saw in "Westerns" many men using a rifle and pistol chambered for the same round. It simplified things not having to carry 2 separate kinds of ammo. Plus these men loaded their own , often at night by the fire, so having to only cast and mold a single round was as much a necessity as a luxury. When I was a kid, I thought this was the norm for all shooters to have companion guns. (of course finding out that it was not always possible unless you liked lever guns and single action pistols).
Anyhow, I bought a Savage 93R17 BVSS and a Taurus Tracker revolver. Both stainless steel. 21" bull barrel for the savage, the picture shows a 4-12x40 Bushnell scope, but I have a 6-24x40 that is going on it, and a 6.5" heavy barrel for the Taurus. I CAN'T WAIT to put some serious rounds through these in the spring. (I only shot the savage for 20 rounds as it's FRIGGING COLD right now, and the Taurus has about 40 from me. It has been a hoot to shoot full spray paint cans in the snow with the .17hmr round. They explode awesomely and leave huge swaths of colored paint on the snow.

SHOW ME YOUR BELOVED "COMPANION GUNS" CGN'ERS!!!!!! HERE ARE MINE:

My combo is a S&W Model 29, 8 3/8", and a pre-safety Marlin 1894 in 44 Mag. I've had them both since the 80's and do enjoy them but found they require different loads. The Marlin has an oversize bore and chamber and hunting loads are tailored accordingly whereas the M29 (with my adrenalin seeking days behind me) serves me best with light to mid-range loads.

geologist, I like your combo. I've kicked myself a bit over the years for not having acquired the Timberwolf when they were in production. It would have been a great companion to my 6" Model 19. Are you in the same boat as to load selection?

10mm

handgun = Glock/Kimber/Colt
carbine = 18" T/C Contender carbine barrel

45 Colt/454 Casull

handgun = Ruger Super Redhawk 4.25" barrel
carbine = 20" barreled LSI Puma M92 lever action

I can't post pictures but I have an early Marlin 1894 in 44 mag and a very early ( about 1966 ? ) production Ruger Flat-top.
Both shoot really well and when my 69 yr. old hands are steady the 6 1/2 " Blackhawk will give the scope sighted Marlin a darn good run for its money at 100 yds.
The Marlin is my Dear Wife's favourite Deer rifle so she keeps it in her safe..... Darn it !
