I have just had a custom 218 Bee built on a Martini Cadet action. I have 200 virgin Hornady brass and am going to be building some test loads with Sierra 45gr. Hornet bullets. Powders I have available are 2400, WW296, H110, N110, WW680BR, Lil Gun, and IMR 4198. Unfortunately I am out of IMR 4227. Anybody out there have a pet load using one of these powders? Primers will be CCI #400. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Lots of variance in how Bees are built. I've used IMR4198, AA1680, AA9 and L'il Gun, can't remember if I used SR4759, may have used Green Dot too but, mostly with 50gr and 40gr bullets, and a few 55gr cast. Lately used L'il Gun, be extremely careful in working up loads with it, I got some pretty fast velocities out of it, with a starting load, worked it up about 1.3gr and was wayyyy over in speed and still over 10% under max. AA1680 was far more consistent for me, did right on book values. That was in a Stevens 044-1/2 with an RKS bbl on it. I was using WW brass.
