I've been looking at buying one of these all black (with rosewood grips) Smith & Wesson 1911 SC's...I really like the look of it but was wondering if anyone has it, how it shoots, reliability, etc.
I'm kind of trying to decide between that and the Sig Nightmare Carry.
This would be my first 45 so any input would be appreciated.
thanks!

I have a S&W 1911 PD Commander. The main difference is the SC has the round butt.
The gun is accurate, shoots fine. In truth, if you were considering the SIG Nightmare vs the S&W, I would get the SIG. They are both external extractor guns but I find the SIGs are a tighter gun overall.
My SIG is a TTT model.

I have the 1911sc e series bobtail. I love it. Fits my hand perfectly. I have had one fail to feed (in about a 1000 rds) but I think I limp wristed it. It's definitely more snappy than a full size, full weight 1911, but it still out shoot me.

I would not trade it at this point.

I too have the sc e series bobtail and love it. I like the weight of the sc guns. I got an R1 about the same time and it is world of difference in the hand.
