Anyone have a scope from Marstar?

I've been looking at leapers scopes at marstar, was wondering if these are worth buying or should I buy a big name brand for my ar180b? Any input would be great

If cash is not an issue buy something better like Bushnell 3200. If you are short of $ you can buy the cheapo scopes on ebay cheaper than you can get them from Marstar

The main problem with ebay is the high shipping costs. Usually $30- $40 U.S. per item. Then they hit you at the door for a bunch more $ for taxes and handling charges. Then you need the import/export authorization permits.

The last scope I tried to get off of ebay was a Leupold rimfire and it said free shipping to Canada. Then the seller sends me the total costs with a $29.95 U.S. shipping fee and denies it said free shipping to Canada on his ad so I'm refusing to finalize the sale. If he tries to give me negative feedback I'll issue a complaint against him with ebay and give him a negative too. :mad:

Not worth the hazzle buying off of ebay anymore. :(
 
I had one a few years ago. It looked great but under some conditions wasn't very clear. I sold mine again within a few months. You are probably better off with a Bushnell, the more expensive you can afford, the better. The 3200 series is excellent, but I also have some Bushnell Banner scopes that are satisfactory. I have found Higginson Powders to have the best prices. You often get very good prices on used scopes at gun shows or gun shops. Old Weaver scopes are usually quite good and cheap. I also pick up any old Tasco or Bushnell that were made in Japan. The quality was much better then.
