Anyone have a Sig Cross yet?

Seems like these are finally hitting the shelves. I’d love to see a review or initial impressions on CGN. I’m quite intrigued by these rifles and can see myself picking one up at some point.

How does it shoot? How does the bolt feel? Does it balance well? Is it more of a precision range rifle or can it do double duty as an all-round rifle (what I’d be interested in)?

I just got mine out of the box and it feels really light.
Does anyone know a trick to remove the plastic "SIG Cross" tags clicked in the M-lok slots of the handguard?

Anyone shoot theirs yet? I’m curious what the recoil feels like with the 6.5 in such a light rifle. I’ve only fired the caliber in 15+lb rifles with muzzle breaks.

I’m also very curious as to how it feel compared to my Stag 10 which sits at around 10lbs with no optic. I had bought the Stag as a hunting rifle but thanks to our wonderful government it’s unfired. The Cross appeals to me as a handy plinker and a hunting rifle if the balance is right with the optic. I’m quite familiar with AR ergos so I wonder if I could get off quick shots with the Cross as I would with an AR (carrying the rifle, flipping the safety off as you come up on target). Not sure if that makes sense.

I'm loving mine so far, its turning out to be a great shooter. Only complaints were with the pistol grip, the one it comes with is slim, but lucky for me I have a chunk of metal taking up space in my safe that I robbed one from. The foreend 'tings' with a slight flick, nothing some of that self adhesive camo tape stuff cant fix and my comb came arranged for a left handed shooter.

I'm current in the process of gather data on loads. The Hornady 143gr ELD-X came out at an average of 2490fps, box states 2700. The velocity loss is nothing to me, as I have never shot anything farther then 150yards, definitely prefer to stalk the prey and ensure the ethical kill. 5 shot group at 200, 4 shots touching... one, well there is always that one!!!

Feels great, I havent touched it from the factory setting, its sitting I'd say around the 2-2.5 range. Definitely feel no need to adjust it.

That looks great Brandon.

Has anyone seen what “modification” has been done for the 308 and .277 Fury variants of this platform in order to adhere to the OAL requirement?

Got mine, very lightweight!

Quick review, before firing:

- trigger is excellent, two stage feel.
- my stock has no wiggle when extended. All adjustments work great.
- bolt is smooth, light jiggle when fully retracted.
- safety is mushy to dis-engage, but a tactile feel to engage. It gets a little hung at about 75 degrees when dis-engaging, but still keep the rifle safe and unable to fire.
- mag release isn't my favorite, but also keeps it from being hit accidentally.
- No as cups! I Put a magpul up front on the rail, but no rear sling swivel? Seems odd and I will explore more.
- the factory aics magpul mag has a different follower then another magpul I have (comes with orange, with a higher feed path) not sure if significant yet.

Any questions let me know and I will try to get back here to answer.

Thanks for the info!

No sling swivel isn’t the end of the world for me. Does it have QD cups?

Apparently the mag follower is specifically designed that way. I’ve heard that soon you’ll be able to buy them individually.
