As the title said, interested in hearing from anyone who owns or who has shot a Tanfoglio Witness 1911. Quite a reasonable price, is it a good firearm or not so good?

How could speaking to the sole distirbutor possibly be fair and imparsial investigation?
Bill,
Maybe, if you knew Sean and his experience with handguns, shooting competition- it would lend credibility to his choices when it comes to distributing equipment.

Speaking to the guys at Freedom is naturally something that needs to be done, but before I go that far I was hoping to speak to someone who has bought one from Freedom and has had a chance to take it to the range.

Don't forget to include the EAA Witness in your search requests.... As far as I understand, they are the same gun, only a different branding for the USA market.

I looked at one at Royal Sportsman, but I think they got it from TSE... Nice gun for the price point.

Of course, you want to get the view of those who own or have test driven. However, as much as anyone who has a product to sell wind up pimping there own goods, I find Sean to be a very honest pimp.:)

So far he's never ducked a hard question from me.

The EAA Witness is a CZ75 clone in 45ACP, completely different gun.

I found that out the hard way after reading a thread at 1911forum.org and getting half way through it before someone asked how they got the 1911 Witness into the US, which as it turned out they didn't, they were referring to the CZ75 clone.
