Anyone have a Tikka T3 with a set trigger?

On another forum there was a debate that Beretta hasn't imported any Tikka's with the single-set trigger into North America. However, my Sako 85 Finnlight has the single-set trigger. I like it. but with setting the trigger, there is absolutely no difference that I can notice, between it and the adjustable trigger on the T3, which broke like glass straight out of the box.

I don't, but my buddy has a set trigger on his Tikka Varmint. I've shot the rifle a number of time both regular trigger and set trigger. The set trigger is so light that you really have to be careful with it. It's very easy to trip the trigger just by touching it. Set triggers force you to make a concious effort to not load up a bit on the trigger before breaking the shot - there is no forgivness with them. Many are measured in ounces - I would estimate the pull weight of his to be 3/4 a pound or so (as opposed to the 2 - 3 lbs for the factory trigger set to its lightest setting)

We did the check where you #### the rifle (empty, of course) and bounce the buttstock firmly on the ground a few times and it did not trip that way so it is a good, safe design. For myself I would not spend the money for a set trigger on a hunting rifle. For a target rifle then it may be a usefull feature but it is just too light to use when the adrenelin is pumping.

As an aside for Shane - Beretta imports Tikkas for the US only. Stoeger is the Canadian importer and they are free to bring in whatever they feel will sell.

Anyone sell them. Originally ordered a CZ 527 for the set trigger but dealer didn't have them in stock so got the T3 hunter.
