I recently purchased a Marlin 1889 and I'm in need of a parts diagram for this rifle. I've tried lots of places online and all I keep getting are detailed parts diagrams of Marlin 1894 models. While many of the parts are interchangeable, I specifically need to see the safety interlocks which keep the 1889 from letting the hammer fall when the bolt is out of battery. These are very different from the model 1894.
Specifically, I need to see the parts the lever interlock contacts on the multi-piece trigger and the shape of the spring pushing down on the lever interlock. I don't know if the parts I have are broken, just worn, or missing.
Finally, I also need to see what the lever catch spring (unique to the model 1889) looks like. Mine is missing. If anyone has a spare I'd be very interested in discussing buying it.
