Been looking at my first toy for the new year and am thinking an over/under. I shoot a lot of sporting clays at the local club and get out for pheasant once or twice a year. Anybody have this firearm? impressions?

I owned one for approx 5 months, I only had it in my possession for 6 days. The rest of the time was spent with the CZ distributer after I sent it back because the stock cracked after 50-60 rounds. When I got it back the replacement stock looked like it was put on by a 4 year old and was already cracked by the one screw. When I told them it was unacceptable and I wanted a new replacement the guy told me they couldnt help me and hung up, fortunately the dealer stood behind it and refunded my money. The gun itself looked very nice (new) but the customer service was absolutely the worst I have ever experienced and I will NEVER own another CZ product.

have 2 friends with 1 20guage other 28 guage .no problems . i shot the 20 guage with 28 in barrels . shot real nice , swong well . would trade my red label for 1 . nice fit and finish .28 guage is the oldest of the 2 , killed lots of birds ,

Pls. note that these are not made by CZ but for CZ by an outfit in Turkey, and i wouldn't read too much into CZ quality of guns they actually make themselves.

I run a sporting clay course, for our gun club, so I see alot of shotguns. The stock cracking problem in the CZs is a big one. I know of at least three guns that have had that problem. Also light hitting on the firing pin and, hard closing are outher issues, I have run across.
Turkish shotguns are of low quality, and built to keep the price down.
I shoot a Browning Citori that has close to 45,000 rounds through it, with out one problem of any kind.
The Italians also make very good shot guns.

I agree, I had the same experience with my SXS ringneck. The first month I got it I sent it for repair in Alberta but the problem was not fixed (not firing the second shot). They promised to send me a new gun, I waited for 6 months to get a replacement gun but I never got it. After several calls and E-mails, I decided to return the gun to the dealer who gave me full refund. Worst experience ever!
