Sub-gauge shotshell adapters in a shotgun can work OK.
cartridge adapters designed to allow use of .22 RF in say a .223 rifle, can also be useful.
Most adapters designed to discharge bulleted rounds through a short rifled section from a smooth bore gun. Not so much.
IMHO. Accuracy does not live there.

If you're just looking for the "BANG" sound, they're fine.
