thanks guys!!

I've dealt with him before. Same thing, short conversation, takes the money and goes quiet. Then suddenly there's something good at the door. It's just his way I guess.

just went to his shop today - he is a busy guy but fair priced and honest - I would not hesistate to buy or use his services - he charged me $20 to fit a rod that would have taken me half a day to do it right - sign me up

I had a norc m14barrel cut down and threaded, as well as requested having the barrel indexed. When I got it back 2 months later the barrel wasn't indexed and the shoulder where the threads stop was so crude that the crush washer would partially ride up on the barrel when the brake was tightened. In the end I cut my losses and started over.

Glad I came across this thread I was just about to post something to the same affect ... I placed an order last week Friday via his website and sent an email this morning looking for a eta on shipping, order shows as still pending and no response to the email.

From what I am hearing here is that it's not abnormal. Was a little worried he was on a holiday or something...

Chalking it up to spring time rush, I will just wait patiently.

Been dealing with them over a long period of time. Seems a lot busier these days, but I am always happy in the end. ALWaYS! :)
Never had a bad experience yet.

+1 for PATIENCE. And be persistent, it takes a strong will to get ahold of joe or Mila (from what I understand they are the only two making our dreams happen over there) but the hardware that showed up at my door was top notch!

I just had an extremely positive experience at Dlask. My m305 shorty had a front sight that was seriously canted off centre and I suspected it was just the casting. When I dropped by Joe very kindly ground and wacked off my suppressor and even custom-fit his adjustable gas lock front sight. NO CHARGE for his time and a few minutes later my problem was solved.

I have met lots of people that sell stuff - some great - some not so much. People that actually build stuff AND are generous with their time go to the top of my list.

Dlask has a good rep.....

Have to remember, when these guys (smiths) are answering emails and talking on the phone, they're NOT working on your gun,,

Imagine trying to bed a gun while talking on the phone or dealing with walk-ins,,,,not easy

imagine giving someone your credit card info then nothing! wont reply to this day! i still want the piece but no reply!
bad businesss practice if you ask me!

Sent him an email earlier this week and haven't heard back yet but just assumed he is busy. I have bought three barrels from Joe, talked to he and Mila, been to his shop and they were always kind and professional. Great quality products too. Sorry to hear about your wait times.

haha theres no wait time! he didnt take the money and wont respond!
before i gave him my info he emailed me back instantly multiple times! thats what got me worried at first! haha
as soon as he got my info he dissapeard! which got me thinking i was gonna get ripped off! but from what you all have told me he is a busy guy and a stand up buisness man when he feels like doing buisness! haha
