Anyone have hands on with the VR66?

Any update on these, reliability, do they cycle target loads etc, looking for something for our 2Gun/3Gun and dynamic shotgun matches we run locally
I do prefer the look of this to the Canuck M4 type clones

So I've put at least 1000 rounds through mine, did a bit of a thread in hunting and sporting shotguns. Basically quite happy with it, runs great. Had one problem with it, the internal buffer weight has sort of an internal plunger which is spring loaded and held in place by a threaded end cap. That end cap came loose and the threads got messed up, stopped cycling properly and made the loose parts sound. TNA sent a replacement buffer and once I got it I loctited the end cap in place which I would recommend as preventative maintenance.

Overall I love the gun and TNA has provided great service and I would 100% recommend.

Some early discussion there were many Turkish shotgun naysayers but I've seen some crappy turk shotguns and this isn't one of them.

It's always dependent on customer service and aftermarket. Having clones of already popular shotguns like the 870, M2, or M4 means you can sometimes get your gun fixed without needing to get a whole new gun.

I have had mine to the range a few times and put a few hundred rounds of slug, 00 and bird shot through it. No issues feeding at all. Very reliable. It shoots fast and you can get 8 rounds in of you ghost load. It is a very light shotgun so it kicks pretty good, especially if you are dumping 8 slugs at once.

I would like to see some other stock options out there as the "stock" stock leaves a little to be desired. A SGA would be idea but would not work with this platform. I am also looking at ordering the Toni Systems Mlok handguard but at $350 its a little steep.

When the weather gets better I plan on getting out to the bush with this an a few of my other semi shotguns and putting a lot more ammo through them.

Thanks for the info pirate604, appreciate it. I decided to grab one so we will see how it works out. I’m thinking between 2Gun/3Gun and the Dynamic shotgun matches we run I’m probably only going to put 400-500 rounds a year thru it with probably 80% of that being target loads and the rest a mix of buckshot and slugs. Looking forward to it arriving :)

I picked one up and although I already have what I think is the best 3gun shotgun (Tac Ord VersaMax) after one range outing I'm very impressed. I still can't believe how light the gun is and the shorter barrel is really nice to do more than 3gun with. I plan to run it for a shotgun course to see if it'll hold up to an entire days worth of shooting. I'd say buy one if you're in the market for an affordable 3gun semi. Really I'd have to go to a 940JM to be at all comparable in my view and there's a significant price difference.

That's the perk of inertia recoil guns; the lighter they are, the better they run.

I have been very impressed with mine so far, still only at maybe 450-500 rounds thru it, probably 90% of that in target loads, the rest in buck and slugs but it’s been fun so far. I can’t get used to ghost rings so I put a Vortex Venom on it and it’s perfect for me. I have noticed it kick’s fairly good due to the light weight but I threw a slip on recoil pad on it and it helps for sure. I will be running it in a Dynamic Shotgun event next weekend so that will be a good test for it, a also shot a round of Trap with it and it was awesome, I sucked but the VR enjoyed it lol. I just noticed TNA has spare barrels for sale so I may grab a 26 or 28” just because:)

edgy I think you solved 2 of my recent problems with the TNA. The length of pull is too short for my liking and it actually has recoil! Great idea on the limbsaver!
I use a Vortex Venom on my VersaMax and put a Bushnell Advance Reflex Sight on the TNA (cheaper then the Venom). Ordered a GG&G rear M2 sling mount.
Nice that TNA includes the front mag tube sling mount.

Please update your round count and how the TNA did on the course. I think most Turkish clones aren't great but reviews on this one have been very positive.

The extractor is removable, I ask this because the extractor pin hole on some Turkish shotgun is not fully drilled.

So I’ve been using this shotgun in a few 2Gun/3Gun matches this year and I can’t believe how much I enjoy it.. From target loads to buckshot or slugs this thing just eats everything. I’ve let a few buddies run it also and the feedback is nothing but positive from anyone who handles it. I think TNA hit it out of the park with the
VR-66, and the fact that they also carry all the parts right here in Canada is an absolute bonus. At the price of these I think anyone in the market for a reliable, affordable semi auto who can’t afford a “B” gun won’t go wrong looking at a VR-66

Got out for early goose with my VR-66. Couldn't get used to shooting on the wing with irons so I bought a vent rib barrel for it. The 3" BB shells have some recoil to em!

Nice! Did you buy the camo stock set from TNA or did you paint it yourself, either way it looks awesome 👍
I will be running my 18 1/2” in a Two Gun match on Saturday, should be a good time, especially now that I’ve actually figured out how to ghost load the damn thing lol
