Has anyone here made there own electronic callers?
Would an MP3 player hooked up to some speakers work? or would it not be loud enough. Those electronic callers they sell cost an arm and a leg so I need to make my own.

Easy to make but, illegal to hunt with in Ontario I beleive.

I did make one years ago to call in some Coyot to shoot with my camera at night. Those suckers came so close, they were brumping into me.

Hello Rico:

Electronic calls may not be used for turkey and migratory birds. Electronic calls are allowed for other game.

Thank you for your enquiry. I hope this helps.

Off to radio shack!!

all you need is an MP3 player, a pocket amp from Radio Shack and a small horn speaker. Grab a small shaving kit bag and you're in business. I used this set up 2 years ago and bagged alot of coyotes and found the only downfall was that it lacked a remote which is real nice.
You can find your sounds on Western digital game calls or varmint als.

Just because they're sold in stores doesn't mean you can use them everywhere.

They sell them in Alberta as well, but they are illegal to use for hunting here.
