I might be selling it but have no idea of value or rarity ,

Thank you so much what a great thread, take down was clear , some history, my uncle bought this right from there in 1960, brought it back on the plane. it has been a safe queen ever since. I am still trying to thin my heard out a bit, and have an idea of price now,
again Yomomma ty for the direction.

yes it is a SHE DU ###### serial number. not a scratch , blemish, brand new never fired , two mags, I have to check butt for cleaning kit, have not got that far, since I posted have alot of PM/s to buy, lol

The problem is I shoot all my guns, except a few that are super special. This is one I really like to look at and know really nothing about until PP's thread, if I shoot it then it is not the same as new never fired, not a spec of dirt, lol I brought it to the range last night and did not have the heart to chamber a round of 762x39 surplus. so the garand and AR were the only things shot. same thing last week with one of my .22's BL22 40yrs and not a round. I have 10 or so guns that have not chambered a round, getting old now and my pcs are like art,

I ended up buying one of the VZ52/57 Sniper Rifles. I didn't know a ton about rarity when I bought it, But I am now coming to the realization that these are quite rare in North America. I don't really intend on shooting it. But I am constantly looking for the matching scope.

Really nice looking rifle, very unique action, the whole tubes thing is really interesting to take apart when I cleaned it up.

I agree, I try to find the right home for my older ones I have sold, try to be careful about giving to good of a deal as in three months they come back up for sale much higher. someone who would actually pay a good market value will not turn around and sell it for a couple of hundred more.

wow that must be super rare, how do you open butt stock? which part do you push on? stupid question but I do not want to scratch anything. the round little button or the square one? does whole butt stock come off or swings out on hinge?

I also have the bayonet, but it is off the rifle, I almost gave it away to a friend who collects them, lol I had a bunch of different ones with chisel tips and pointed star type, for sks's , but one was a flat blade, I kept it and was going to put it on the grinder and play. thank god I did not, lol

it has never been opened, not a mark on it, like a treasure, does it contain the cleaning kit I wonder? I do not want to scratch the button lol.
might pack this back in grease and put it away, bring it back out in ten yrs, when everyone has been shot.
