Anyone have Russian 7.62x38R for sale?

7.62X38R? maybe I'm flapping my ignorance in the wind (and if so, this is the place to get educated) but I've never heard of it. Not 7.62X54R by chance?

Wait a minute, isn't that for the soviet nagent revolver?

It is indeed.

I've never seen any surplus offered for sale, I'm guessing the NKVD execution squads expended most of it around the end of WWII :p

It can be made from .32-20 brass. I use .32-20 brass, 95 grain semi wad cutter lead bullets and my .32-20 dies to load it. Funny thing, my Colt in .32-20 is a prohib but my Nagant revolver using the same bullets, primers, powder and cases is not, go figure???

I'd be looking for a case or 2 of surplus ammo.

Welcome to the club. I bought a box of the Soviet target stuff over a year ago I was lucky enough to find at a local show, but have been unable to find any since then. So basically, I have been rationing my one box out, works out to about 7 rounds every 8 months :(

Wolf is/was supposed to be the first new manufacture of it this fall/winter (in brass cases) not sure where that whole thing is.

Apparently you can also form bras from 223 cases, though the process looks a little labour-intensive

Wolf can't import to Canada right now. They're not sanctioned or whatever it is.
And they're the only guys making 7.62x38R besides Fiocchi. You can buy Fiocchi stuff, but it'll kill your wallet.
