Looking for some old data, and I've heard aroudn the internets that the speer #11 manual has what I'm looking for. I have #12, and no dice, anyway......

Specifically I'm looking for 45ACP loads with Winchester 452AA and/or Hodgdon 100 Trap powder. Looking for 185, 200, and 230 data if it exists. I found somewhere 4.7-5.3 grains with a 230RN, but just trying to confirm before I damage things.

Thanks in advance if anyone has this load data!

Speer #11 says:

185 gr TMJ Match
452AA - 4.7gr - 819
4.3gr - 757

200gr TMJ Combat / Hollow Pt
452AA - 5.5gr - 898
5.0gr - 841

230gr TMJ
452AA 5.3 825
4.7 760

I was given a 6lb. keg of 452AA when a friend quit loading for shotgun.
I use 4.8gr. in 45 ACP with a 230gr. plated bullet, and coincidentally use the same 4.8gr. in 9mm. with a 125gr. plated bullet.
These loads are under the indicated maximums for Trap 100 powder for those calibres/bullet weights in the Hogden #26 Manual.
I shoot them in a Norinco 'Police Model' .45, and a Norinco NZ-85B 9mm. respectively.
The loads function perfectly in both pistols, are pleasant to shoot, very reliable, accurate and quite clean burning. I have never chronographed them.
They are also VERY economical, and the 6lbs. will likely outlast me.

No Speer #11, but Hogden #26 shows for Trap 100:-
185gr (JSP) 4.8gr. 809 FPS @ 13,400 CUP up to 5.4gr. 902 FPS @ 15,100 CUP
200gr (lead) 4.2gr. 740 FPS @ 12,600 CUP up to 5.2gr. 834 FPS @ 14,900 CUP
230gr (jacketed) 4.2gr. 726 FPS @ 12,900 CUP up to 5.1gr. 828 FPS @ 15,800 CUP

Regards, DaveF.
