Anyone have this 10/22, or SR-22 problem?

I was out shooting yesterday and my SR-22 started to double feed, and I was having failure to extract problems. I gave it a once over and figured it was the Blazer ammo that I was putting through it. Once I got home, I took it apart to see what was causing the problem.
What I found should actually be phrased as what I did'nt find....
The extractor and spring were missing! Gone; as in not there...

Is this a common problem? Can the extractor actually depart the firearm during use? Seems strange to me!
Any suggestions for where to pick up a new one?

Thanks for the reply Buster...

I was actually looking at the first link as you were posting. The problem with mine is not so much about ammo but about the missing extractor. -As in gone, not there, MIA, fell out...

I have a newish SR-22. I put 2000 rounds through it using the stock extractor and then put another 1000 through it with an aftermarket one I dropped in. I never had any problems with either going missing....

The bright side to this is that an aftermarket extractor is super cheap and will definitely improve reliability. I bought the power customs one from hical for like $20 I think?

You probably had a blow out and didn't even realize it. Of all the rounds I've put through mine when I first got it, something like that never happened.

What kind of barrel was it ?

It is the factory SR-22 barrel with an AR suppressor on it.
