Anyone have varmint problems?

Would like to go hunt gophers or coyotes anywhere near me. I can drive east to Brighton and 401 or north to Peterborough. PM me.

Is Ontario even part of the range of Richardson ground squirrels, or what most people call "gophers"? You might have to drive to Manitoba to find any gophers.

I've only heard of gophers as far as Manitoba.

As for Coyote's, go to Barrie or Vaughan, there are quite a few. I went to Bass Pro in Vaughan and they told me where the hot spots were.

Kinda in the same boat here. Been looking since the spring but most people are helpfully silent about places to hunt anything. Any tips thrown my way would be lovely

No gophers or Richardson ground squirrels in Ontario. Coyotes are everywhere in Southern Ontario. Including downtown Mississauga and the ravines in TO.
Go knock on some farm house doors. Don't take a firearm. Don't go on Sunday and don't wear camouflage. If they say no, thank 'em politely and leave. Doesn't hurt t oask if they know of a place though.

Isn't there a 1 tag per season on wolf/coyote in ontario? Or is that just a certain area or?

I get it now, they think hunters are to dumb to tell wolves from coyote so in the north we have this new law so you have to pay extra $$ and buy the tags with a limit of 2 per season. Yay..
